Bite into Milton Zombie Fest Oct. 21

Walkers aren’t the only creatures breaching Milton for Zombie Fest this weekend. The Ogre and his fae folk are opening the Grove to the public for a Preview Day this Saturday.

If you’ve been wondering why we haven’t been blathering on our blog, we’ve been busy turning the bottom floor of our historic home at 129 Union St. into a comic shop and art gallery. After discovering the opportunity after my birthday vacation in February, we shifted heaven and earth to finally close on the property in May. ErinAnn Martin Beebe, RealtorĀ®, helped us through the pestilent process of buying one house before our other house, just a mere mile away, was ready to list. When it did go on the market, she had it under contract the same day!

After our other house closed, we made it a goal to be open by Ogre’s birthday, Oct. 21. When we found out that was the same day as Milton Zombie Fest, we knew it was meant to be. We invite you to celebrate with us from 11am to 7pm.

Our new comic book order won’t arrive until next Wednesday, so we’re offering Buy One, Get One on back issues for this Saturday only. And where the new issues will eventually be in the front of the shop, our pals at PLB Comics will make a special appearance instead!

I also drew a zombie fairy for the occasion. I have a few color-your-own postcards left from Revival House to give away to customers. And I still have many magnets to cut before tomorrow, thus I must stagger away. I hope you’ll devour all our comic shop has to offer during Milton Zombie Fest!
